Net Profiles – create profiles of your network settings
|How to Delete an Ad Hoc Network While Windows does not natively support network profile management, it does support multiple network connections and sharing profiles, Net Profiles – create profiles of your network settings. You can manage all of your available network adapters using the Network Connections settings window. If you want to view the current status of your network connections via your desktop, you can easily create a desktop icon that will change to reflect its current connection state.

You can change the sharing profile for connected networks via the Network icon on the Settings Charm menu. Right-click the network icon for your current network connection.

For example, click "Linksys" to select the current connection to the network named Linksys. Click the network profile related to the type of network you are connected to under "Do you want to turn on sharing between PCs and connect to settings on this network? Right-click on one of your network connections, Net Profiles – create profiles of your network settings, click "Create Shortcut" and then your "Yes" when prompted to place a shortcut to your network connection on your desktop.
Press "Windows-D" to view your desktop. Net desktop shortcut you created will indicate the network connection's current status; a create profile represents a disconnected network adapter, green signal bars represents an active wireless connection and a red X represents an inactive network connection.❷
